EDGE (Middle School Youth)

Today at 3:00 pm in O’Leary Hall
It is not too late to register

Unlike any other period in history, the middle-school years are the time where youth seek many unanswered questions about life and faith. The statistics now confirm if they don’t personally encounter Jesus Christ in a real way in these formative years they don’t sense the Church has any real relevance to them. The other hard truth: if all they receive is classroom catechesis and do not develop a sense of meaningful community life, they don’t really feel a source of connection to the Church. And if the Bible doesn’t come alive to them they do seek to find being alive in other worldly ways. If they don’t begin to hear the call to move from the pew to serve Christ, they end up committing to something much less meaningful.

EDGE will give your middle-schooler the opportunity to forge strong Catholic friendships before they enter the even more challenging high school years. Our EDGE Core Team is committed to not simply providing information about the Catholic faith, but creating a safe and joy-filled environment, sharing and exposing your youth to the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Please come and hear our plans to assist you in sharing the faith with your middle-school youth. We will also be revealing a few new, exciting, and undemanding parent experiences we are making available this year too.
