Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.

Distribution of Holy Eucharist and ashes* in the Parish Courtyard will follow each in-person Mass.
Fr. John Gonzales will also celebrate video Ash Wednesday Mass in the Chapel. It will be available to view by 7 AM Wednesday morning. Holy Eucharist and ashes* for those who view Mass technologically will be available in the Parish courtyard during these times:

*Distribution of Ashes in Time of Pandemic
(as decreed by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments)
The Priest will say the prayer for blessing the ashes. He will sprinkle the ashes with holy water, without saying anything. Then he will address all present and ONLY ONCE say the formula as it appears in the Roman Missal, applying it to all in general, reminding them to "Repent and believe in the Gospel" or "Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return."
The priest will then cleanse his hands, put on a face mask and distribute the ashes. Ashes will be applied using an individual (one-time) Q-tip cotton swab on the head of each person without saying anything.
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 and older.
2021 weekly in-person Stations of the Cross/Benediction will be offered on Tuesdays in the Church, beginning Tuesday, February 23 at 7:00 PM.
The same mask-wearing and social distancing protocols that have been in place for Masses apply for Stations, too.
Worshipers will remain in their pews throughout the entire service...no physical traveling from station-to-station as in prior years.
The video recordings of The Way of the Cross with Fr. Callistus Iyorember and
Come Walk with Deacon Ed Sheffer are available below.
There will also be Stations of the Cross offered on Good Friday at Noon...separate and apart from the 3:00 PM Reading of the Passion.
