Chosen - Your Journey Toward Confirmation

The Confirmation Experience at St. Thomas the Apostle isn’t a Catholic Sacrament Graduation! It’s not about crossing all the Catholic t’s and dotting the i’s. Confirmation is all about a conversion process and taking ownership for the Catholic Faith. At its core, it is about seeking to become an intentional disciple!

2024 - 2025's Confirmation experience begins Wednesday, September 4. All high school grade levels are welcome. We meet on Wednesday Nights at 6:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM. The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Online registration is below.

Cost: $50 – Scholarships are available.

2024 - 2025 TEEN CONFIRMATION SPONSOR FORM

Chosen offers a powerful approach to teen faith formation that will both catechize and challenge teens to fully embrace a life in Christ. This is a journey toward the Sacrament of Confirmation. The ultimate goal is to win over the hearts of teens and help in the process of making them disciples of Jesus Christ. Available for grades 9 - 12.

Jesus promised the gift of the Holy Spirit and he did so because none of us can ever take on the mission without the Holy Spirit. His mission for each and everyone of us is to go into the world and make disciples.

Confirmation is not a crash course in Catholicism! It is not the time in life a teen is choosing to be Catholic for the rest of their life. It is not deciding or confirming one's faith. It doesn't mean a teen is becoming an adult in the eyes of the Roman Catholic Church. It isn't a completion of one's religious education and formation in the faith. 

Our Confirmation journey (Chosen) takes place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. It begins September 4. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred May 18, 2025.

Lord, send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of those teens recently Confirmed, may they believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent.
Look kindly on them and may they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment the good work that You have begun in them.
Lord, let us all appreciate what is holy in others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Please deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example. We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us.
