Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.
Father Patrick M. Crino, Pastor
This group of St. Thomas the Apostle women is dedicated to offering an hour of Adoration prayer for one of our parish priests for 365 days! This year, they are praying for our Pastor, Fr. Patrick Crino.
Their ministry welcomes new members to commit to one or two days per month for an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
Each woman is assigned one or two days per month to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament either in an Adoration Chapel or in front of a Tabernacle.
Once assigned, it is the woman’s responsibility to make sure the hour is prayed. This is usually a year commitment, and a calendar is devised each month. There are substitutes for emergencies and requests for time off may be made for vacation times.
The ministry welcomes new members. Please join us! If anyone is interested in this mission of prayer, contact Michele Grantham at [email protected].
Seven Sisters Apostolate is a national group, with the mission to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop – a “holy wasting” (cf.Mt.26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ. St. Thomas the Apostle group is a hybrid form of this group.
