Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.

Don’t let your teen miss out on this!
Every teen wants to belong yet lies fill their heads convincing them that they don’t. The pace of life, the pressure of society and the digital landscape are constantly reminding them of how they fail to measure up and all those things can add up to a sense of unworthiness.
So, how do you counter this rising tide of isolation? Imagine a teen, regardless of sin or doubt, finding themselves among a sea of thousands of their peers. Beyond performance, they slowly find the freedom to breathe, experiencing that they are actually loved as they are, where they are. At home among the broken, they begin to taste the hope that fills the room as music and the message breaks out. Apprehension begins to fade; something shifts in the heart when they realize the hope that they hear is Jesus and the home that they see is His Church and that this is where they belong.
Belonging leads to encounter. My two decades in youth ministry has provided keen insight into something extremely valuable: belief grows out of belonging. Jesus welcomed people who didn’t really know him personally and it was through that welcoming that an encounter with Jesus was possible, and faith became very real as a result, a relationship with Jesus grew.
The stage for a life-changing encounter with Christ will be made available at this dynamic conference. Your teen is not only wanted but will be an irreplaceable part of this event. I ask you to trust that through this sense of belonging, grace will be allowed to move, and faith will begin to grow more in your daughter or son. We would love for your high school teen to join us, along with a few thousand more teens their age, this July 14 – 16, 2023.
St. Thomas the Apostle Parish has secured twenty-five spots; they will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your teen will be chaperoned by our Compliant Certified Core Team. The Steubenville West Presenting Team is totally stacked this year: Fr. Mike Schmitz, Josh Blakely, David Calavitta and Mari Pablo.
Cost is $350 per person. Fee includes the three-day Conference, hotel stay at the Hilton Doubletree, meals and t-shirt.
Steubenville West is one of the top Catholic Conferences in the United States and it is coming to Tucson in one month: July 14 - 16. PARENTS: if there is any way for your son or daughter to attend this, it will be a powerful experience. Fr. Mike Schmitz, the nationally renowned speaker will be the main presenter.
There are a few scholarship spots open and just a handful of general spots remain available. If you have any questions, contact Deacon Ed at 520-577-8780, extension 111 or [email protected] ASAP.
