Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
This is Jesus' invitation to discipleship in Matthew 11:28-30.

St. Thomas the Apostle Youth Ministries is your home to find out about all of the programs and events we are hosting for the youth in our community! STAP Youth is involved in the lives of our youth in several ministries that all work closely together.
Life Teen is our high school program that meets Sunday nights after the 5:00 PM Mass to share fellowship and learn about Jesus Christ and His Church. Life Teen also includes Purpose, our confirmation prep program which meets on Tuesday evening. EDGE is our once-a-month meeting for middle-school youth and a great primer for jumping into the Life Teen experience! More Than Words is our social justice ministry which caters to all middle and high-schoolers. MTW meets once a week and covers a social justice topic over the course of a month and then, true to the name, heads out to put what was learned into action somewhere in the community.
Browse through our programs and see what would be a good fit for you and go check out our blog page for all the newest and upcoming events! For any questions contact our Youth Ministry Director, Deacon Ed Sheffer.
Go and make disciples – Is it your time yet? Being an intentional disciple is very much about seeking to be in deeper relationship with Jesus and being willing to share what we have encountered about Jesus to others. The moments that have the greatest impact on others occur when we allow ourselves to become present to others, listen to them, and then share the Good News. The Good News is a person – Jesus.
In our youth ministry offerings at St. Thomas the Apostle, we seek to help young people locate their experience of God within the language and experience of the Catholic Church, and then nurture their relationship with God through practices of living that keep them available to God and others. We seek to do all youth ministry in connection to families.
Please pray and discern if you are being called to serve in this meaningful ministry. If you have a combination of any of these skills, we need you:
dedicated & enthusiastic
good communicator & creative
tech savvy & trustworthy
team player & organizational
Age is not the gauge to consider. And you don’t need a degree in theology to be an effective youth minister. What’s needed is love of God, a desire to love Him more, and a willingness to respond to the mission Jesus gave us all: to humbly devote yourselves to creating disciples. If you are willing, we will see that you get what you need to be effective. Please contact:
